The 5-day AFTRS Real Filmmaking Workshop is the number one filmmaking workshop for young people in Australia. It is an excellent opportunity to collaborate with a group of creative young people for a ‘real filmmaking experience’.

Participants will work with a director, professional actors and AFTRS crew in state-of-the-art studios using professional equipment. You will write your own script, learn how to direct professional actors and experience the technical elements of filmmaking including camera, lighting, sound and editing skills – all in one week! Your group’s vision will be realised with a screening of your short film in the AFTRS theatre for parents and friends, with students receiving a copy of their film to take home.
