Four Day Music Video Workshop
Make a completed music video for an up and coming band!
Whether you’re in a band and need a clip, or a Director/Cinematographer looking to get a head start on your music video career, this introductory, hands-on, four day intensive course from Brent Griffin, aka SPOD (Art vs Science, Dan Kelly, The Laurels, etc.) will give you all the information & skills you need for making music videos in 2013.
This fast paced course covers it all, from Fantasia and The Beatles to Michael Jackson and Gotye. You’ll cover who’s making videos (and why), what makes the Australian scene unique, how to pitch your idea, planning, budgeting (big and shoestring) and crewing.
After Brent’s basic camera course the class will be in the AFTRS professional studio – with a real band – rehearsing, lighting, shooting and directing a video clip. The final day and a half will be devoted to editing and delivering a completed music video.
Students will receive a copy of their finished project and can expect to take away the knowledge and skills to get busy making their very own music video ideas a reality.
No camera or editing experience is necessary for this course, however a passion for music and music videos certainly is!
